| Formula Rossa - Making of |
|
Strap yourself into the F1 cockpit and hold on, as you blast away on the fastest roller coaster on the planet. You'll accelerate to 240km/h and see what 1.7 Gs really feels like. You'll scream over the track and 52 meters into the sky before flying through the chicanes and across the finish line on the Formula Rossa. Formula Rossa celebrates speed, aerodynamics and technical innovation. A featured attraction at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the world's first Ferrari theme park and largest attraction of its kind, Formula Rossa will take you on the most thrilling ride of your life. The Formula Rossa journey will begin in a temperature controlled pre-ride waiting area, where riders will be given protective eyewear, designed to protect passengers from the windforce generated by the coaster's high speed. Using a hydraulic winch system, similar to those used to launch jet planes, the F1 inspired coaster is then shot out of the launch area using 20800 horsepower and propelled to a height of 52m in less than 5 seconds. Riders are then taken on a blindingly fast and thrilling experience along a 2.07 km track full of sharp turns and sudden drops. According to the designers of Formula Rossa, Jack Rouse Associates, the key challenge in building the world's fastest roller coaster was obtaining the desired speed without compromising passenger safety and comfort. Key facts about Formula Rossa World's fastest roller coaster reaching speeds of up to 240 kph 0 to 100 km in 2 seconds Winch ...

| 2009 Formula D Round 1 - Long Beach |
|
falkentire.com Music: Beyond Paranoia by Jon Dal LONG BEACH, CA The inaugural event in the 2009 Formula Drift season began on the famed street course of Long Beach where Team Falken faced a very competitive field of works drivers and privateers and successfully qualified eight cars in the top 32 tandem competition, a new component to Formula D this season. This is the 4th year Formula Drift has competed on the tough track that was previously the domain of open wheel racing. However, the increasing popularity of drifting, especially in Southern California, has prompted its addition to the track for a dedicated weekend. It also was the perfect location for Team Falken to debut its new team which consists of veteran member Vaughn Gittin, Jr., driving his brand new 2010 Ford Mustang; Daijiro Yoshihara in his Discount Tire Lexus IS350; Tyler McQuarrie with his Nissan 350Z Convertible; Calvin Wan, competing in a Nissan S15 Silvia; and Darren McNamara, returning in his Sears Auto Center Saturn Sky. Considering four out of our five team vehicles are completely new builds to our team, we had a very successful first showing, declared Nick Fousekis, Senior Consumer Marketing Manager, Falken Tire. This accomplishment truly is a testament to our drivers skill, our vehicle builders capabilities, the Azenis RT615s performance and Falkens dedication to the sport of drifting. After the final session, overall standings had Gittin, Jr., tied for 6th; McNamara stood in 10th; Yoshihara ...

Issac Delgado (born Issac Felipe Delgado-Ramirez on September 11, 1962 in Marianao, Habana, Cuba) is one of Cuba's biggest salsa stars. His father, Luis Delgado, was a tailor and his mother, Lina Ramirez, was an actress, dancer and singer in the Teatro Musical de La Habana. When he was ten years old he entered the Amadeo Roldan Conservatory where he studied violoncello, an instrument that did not interest him. At twelve he left the conservatory, and pursued the study of sports and soccer. He later graduated in sport education. At 18, Isaac joined the group "Proyecto" at the request of the pianist, Gonzalo Rubalcaba. This sparked his innate love for music. It was at this point that he decided to study vocal technique with one of the best vocal instructors in Cuba, Mariana De Gonish. He also enrolled in the school for professional musicians, "Ignacio Cervantes. In 1983 he began his professional career becoming one of the members of the Orquestra de Pancho Alonso.
